Winter Water Safety

Winter Water Safety

The weather is getting colder, but even during winter we need to be mindful and safe around the water. Here are our top 4 reasons why we love swimming in winter!

Baby Swimming in Pool

Great “winter” sport

It’s cold and wet outside, but it’s toasty warm in the pool! Continuing swimming lessons during winter might seem like a chilly idea, but it’s actually one of the best activities the kids can do. Not only is SwimWorld’s pool completely indoors, but it is also heated to a lovely 32 degrees celsius ensuring our swimmers are kept warm.

Consistency is key

Kids thrive on consistency and stopping swimming for a short period of time can set their skills back. By continuing lessons during winter, your little one will learn and improve water safety skills, preparing them for the warmer months.

Peace of mind on your winter-escape

If you’re planning to escape the cold weather over the winter school holidays, you will have peace of mind that your kids are safe in and around the hotel pool or beach.

Prevent winter illness with swimming

Not only does swimming during winter keep your kids active, but swimming as regular exercise helps strengthen the immune system, therefore reducing the risk of common colds and flus.[1]

Term 3 begins on Monday 11th July. Enrol your little swimmers at SwimWorld and give them the life saving skills they need!
